When: Sunday, January 29, 2023
Where: St. Ann Parish Hall
Time: 6:30-7:30 pm
The Challenge: Many parents are not going to mass which means the children are learning one thing about faith and yet seeing another in the way that it is practiced (or not). This makes the chances of faith sticking with them much lower. ALSO, it greatly diminishes their chances of hearing a vocation to the priesthood or religious life.
Beginning Solution: Fr. Brett Metzler, would like to come and speak to us, briefly, on Vocations in the family. This would entail what a vocation is, how it is fostered, and the importance of family practicing the faith.
Why is this important? For the Salvation of souls.
What do we pray that this “talk” will accomplish? We hope that this will simply be a “springboard” in assisting the work the Formation Dept, and our Pastor have already begun doing. Hopefully, when the parents see/hear a newly ordained priest talk about the Faith in the context of their child’s wellbeing, it will help open us a little further, to take their faith, and their child’s vocation, more seriously.
